Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how EL WELLNESS SOLUTIONS LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Litepisodes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Litepisodes websites and related services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Service”).
This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service. If a term is not defined here, it has the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
Scope
This Policy applies to information we collect through the Service and related communications, such as support emails and in-service notices. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, content licensors, payment providers, or other applications that may be linked from or integrated with the Service – those are governed by their own privacy practices.
Age Requirement
The Service is intended for users 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
If we learn that a person under 16 has created an account, we will terminate the account and delete the associated personal information. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal information to us, contact support@litepisodes.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We do not knowingly use personal information of users under 16 for targeted advertising, and we do not sell or share such information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information.
Information you provide
Account information: email address, login credentials (stored in hashed form), display name (if provided), preferred language, and basic account settings.
Profile and content preferences: content preferences, language selections, favorites, watchlists, ratings, reactions, and similar information you choose to provide.
User Inputs: ratings, reviews, comments, and other materials you submit, where such features are available.
Purchase information: subscription plan, billing country, transaction history, and other purchase-related details provided at checkout.
Support communications: messages you send to support and any information you include in them.
Information collected automatically
Usage data: titles, episodes, chapters, and previews you open, playback and reading events (start, pause, resume, completion, progress), time spent, search queries, recommendations you interact with, navigation paths, clicks, and timestamps.
Device and technical data: IP address, device type, operating system and version, browser type and version, screen resolution, language and locale, time zone, network type, crash logs, performance diagnostics, and similar technical information.
Approximate location: approximate location derived from your IP address, typically at country, region, or city level, used for content availability, regional pricing, fraud prevention, and analytics. We do not collect precise GPS location.
Browser notification tokens: if you enable browser notifications, we receive a token from the relevant push service in order to send them.
Cookies and similar technologies: cookies, pixels, and local storage used to operate the Service, remember preferences, maintain security, measure performance, and support marketing where permitted. See our Cookie Policy.
Payment information
Purchases are processed by third-party payment processors. We generally receive limited payment-related information such as payment status, transaction identifiers, billing country, and the last four digits of a card where the processor provides it. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from:
- payment processors – transaction status and identifiers
- attribution and analytics providers – campaign and acquisition information
- advertising and marketing partners – measurement and reporting, subject to consent where required
content licensors and rights holders – where required for audience reporting under licensing terms.
Inferences and derived data
We may generate signals, segments, and recommendations based on your use of the Service – for example, from what you open and how you rate it. These are used to provide, personalize, and improve the Service.
Sensitive information
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as government identifiers, full payment card numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health records. Please do not submit such information through the Service.
How We Use Information
- Provide and operate the Service – create and maintain accounts, deliver Content and recommendations, maintain core functionality
- Personalization and improvement – tailor recommendations, watchlists, and language options, and improve features, quality, and performance
- Content licensing and availability – enforce regional availability of specific titles, and generate audience reports for licensors as required by content agreements, using aggregated or de-identified data where possible
- Security and fraud prevention – protect accounts, detect suspicious activity including chargeback fraud, credential abuse, and account sharing beyond what is permitted, and enforce our Terms
- Payments and billing – process transactions, manage subscriptions, send receipts, and handle billing issues
- Customer support – respond to requests and resolve technical issues
- Analytics – understand how the Service is used and improve usability and performance
- Marketing and communications – send service updates and, where permitted, marketing messages and personalized promotions, from which you may opt out
- Legal and compliance – comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and content licensing obligations, and protect our rights and our users
Accounting, audit, and recordkeeping – maintain financial records, reconcile transactions, and comply with tax and accounting obligations.
How We Disclose Information
Service providers. Vendors that help us operate the Service – cloud hosting and content delivery, product analytics, customer support and ticketing, email and notification delivery, attribution and crash reporting, fraud and risk scoring, and payment processing. They may process information only as needed to provide services to us and are bound by contractual obligations.
Content licensors. Where required by content licensing arrangements, we may share aggregated or de-identified usage data and audience reports with content licensors and rights holders. We do not share personally identifying information for this purpose unless required by law or expressly required by the licensing arrangement.
Advertising and analytics partners. Where permitted, and subject to consent where required, we may share certain information with advertising, attribution, measurement, and analytics partners.
Legal, safety, and enforcement. Where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights and safety of Litepisodes, our users, or others, or enforce our Terms and Policies.
Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to customary confidentiality protections.
With your direction. Where you request or direct us to share information.
We may also disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
We do not sell personal information for money.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Service, maintain security, and, where permitted, support analytics, personalization, and marketing.
Where required by applicable law, non-essential cookies and similar technologies are used only after you provide consent. You can manage your choices through our cookie banner and preference tools, or through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Notifications and Communications
If you enable browser notifications, we may send you notifications about new Content, recommendations, billing, or security, and, where permitted, promotional messages. You can disable them at any time in your browser or operating system settings.
You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message, or by contacting support@litepisodes.com. Service-related messages – billing, security, and operational notices – may still be sent after you opt out of marketing.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. The following periods apply unless a longer period is required by law, or is necessary to resolve a dispute, enforce our agreements, or establish or defend legal claims:
- Account information – for as long as your account is active, and up to 12 months after you delete it or after prolonged inactivity
- Purchase, billing, and tax records – 7 years from the date of the transaction, to meet accounting and tax obligations
- Usage and analytics data – up to 26 months from collection, after which it is deleted or aggregated so that it can no longer be linked to you
- Support communications – up to 24 months from the close of the request
- Security, fraud, and abuse logs – up to 24 months, or longer where needed for an ongoing investigation
Cookies and similar technologies – as set out in the Cookie Policy.
We may retain and use aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for longer periods.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No security measure is perfect. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
International Data Transfers
We are located in the United States and process and store information in the United States, and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose data protection laws differ from those of your own country.
Where required by applicable law, including in the EEA and the UK, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent contractual protections.
Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) – to provide the Service, create and manage accounts, deliver Content, enable Paid Features, and provide related support
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) – to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain and improve the Service, meet content licensing obligations, and protect our rights and our users
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – where required, for non-essential cookies and similar technologies and for certain marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time
Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) – to comply with applicable law, including accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements, and to respond to lawful requests.
Your Privacy Rights
U.S. state privacy laws. Depending on your state of residence – including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Florida, and other states with consumer privacy laws – you may have rights to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- correct inaccurate personal information
- delete personal information
- obtain a portable copy of personal information
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising
opt out of certain profiling; and
be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
EEA/UK. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, obtain data portability, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Exercising your rights. Contact support@litepisodes.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
California Notice
This section applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA”), applies.
Categories of personal information we collect
- identifiers – email address, IP address, device identifiers, account identifiers
- internet or other electronic network activity information – usage data, interaction and playback events, search queries
- geolocation data – approximate location derived from IP address
- commercial information – subscription status, transaction identifiers, billing country, payment status, Content purchased
- audio, electronic, visual, or similar information – the content of reviews or comments you submit, where applicable
inferences – recommendations, segments, and content preferences drawn from your use of the Service.
We do not collect Sensitive Personal Information as defined by the CCPA, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
Purposes, sources, and disclosures. As described in the Sections “How We Use Information,” “Information We Collect,” and “How We Disclose Information” above.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as that term is defined by the CCPA, where we use certain marketing or advertising technologies. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.
Right to opt out. California residents may opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising by using our cookie preference tools – “Reject Non-Essential” or “Manage Preferences” – or by contacting support@litepisodes.com with the subject line “California Privacy Rights.”
Opt-out preference signals. We honor browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, to the extent required by applicable law.
Retention and non-discrimination. We retain personal information as set out in the Section “Data Retention.” We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Automated Decision-Making
The Service uses algorithmic processing to generate recommendations, rankings, and similar Outputs. These do not produce legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning you. Where automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects is introduced, we will provide additional information and rights as required by applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time by posting the updated version and revising the Effective Date above. Where notice is required by applicable law, we will provide it as required. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
